Cancellation / Rescheduling policy:

  • Deep Sea Divers Den reserves the right to change vessel, dive locations and price without notice.
  • Please note DSDD must receive at least 48 hours notice from you when choosing to cancel / reschedule a reservation. Cancellation refunds are not given within 48 hours notice. This includes factors beyond your control including medical problems, airline delays, bad weather, etc. - "Trade Practices Act 1974". Travel insurance is highly recommended.
  • All DSDD bookings are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations fees:

    a. More than 48 hours before course/trip commencement date: 10% of course/trip fee
    b. Within 48 hours of course/trip commencement: Full course/trip fee.

OPEN WATER COURSES

  • DAY 1: Failed Medical; Full refund. Cancellation for any other reason a charge of AUD$85.
  • DAY 2; AUD$170 cancellation fee.
  • AFTER DAY 2, no refund will be given.
  • Day trip Course Schedules can NOT be altered
  • Course manual must be returned AS NEW condition, or an additional fee of AUD$50 applies

Professional Courses

  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations fees:

    a. More than 21 days before course commencement date: 20 % of course fee
    b. Within 21 days of course commencement: Full course fee.

Cancellation for Coral Sea and Cod Hole trips are as follows:

For trips on Taka

  • If cancelled more than 30 days prior to departure a 25% cancellation policy applies
  • If cancelled less than 30 days prior to departure a 50% cancellation policy applies
  • If cancelled less than 14 days prior to departure a 100% cancellation policy applies.

Terms for Taka trips

  • In the case of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, Taka Dive reserves the right to adjust or cancel the standard itinerary
  • We recommend the individual purchase of TRAVEL insurance.
  • Dive Insurance for medical evacuation is available on board at a cost of $25AUD (Cod Hole Tour) or $30AUD (Coral Sea Tour)
  • Certain medical conditions or medication can preclude some people from diving, please contact Taka Dive if more information is required.

For trips on Spirit of Freedom

  • 20% cancellation fee applies with less than 60 Days Notice
  • 100% cancellation fee applies with 21 days or Less Notice

NOTES for Spirit of Freedom trips:

  • From 01 July 2006 a AU$100 pp Surcharge applies for the Thursday Departure 7 Day Tour
  • Non Diving Passengers, please deduct $100 off the trip rate
  • Ocean View Cabins and Stateroom reservations received for min 2 people or at single supplement price.
  • Single supplement available at 2 person rate less $100.

  • PADI Advanced Course & Nitrox Course available all trips
