This is a must for everyone working as a Divemaster or Instructor. The course authorises you to administer Oxygen as a first aid provider. Many Governments now require career divers to have a course of this calibre before being allowed to work.

The DAN Oxygen Provider Course Curriculum includes the following topics :

Part 1 : Resuscitation:

1. Physiology
2. Resuscitation
3. One and Two person EAR & CPR

Part 2 : Oxygen Provision:

1. Recognition of Diving Injuries
2. Benefits of providing supplemental Oxygen
3. When Best to Administer Oxygen
4. Oxygen Equipment
5. Oxygen Unit
6. Dealing with a Diving Accident

Prerequisites:

1. Minimum age 14.
2. Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate (or equivalent).

Course Materials Required

Text book "Oxygen First Aid For Divers" by John Lippman.

Administrative Requirements:

1. Two passport size photographs.
2. Provide proof of Senior First Aid qualification or equivalent. (Candidates who have undergone EFR Instructor Course automatically qualify).

Included in the Course Fee:

1. 1/2 day tuition and use of classroom facilities.
2. Required text book "Oxygen First Aid For Divers" by John Lippman.
3. Use of mannequin(s) and Oxygen Equipment.
4. DAN Oxygen Provider certification fee.
5. DAN Oxygen Provider wall certificate.

Not included in the course fee:

1. DAN S.E. Asia Pacific Membership (not required for certification).
2. PADI OXYGEN FIRST AID SPECIALTY certification card.
