Professional Dive Course Reservation

The E.F.R. INSTRUCTOR Course Curriculum includes the following topics:

  1. Emergency First Response Program Philosophy.
  2. Learning and Instruction.
  3. Course Standards & Materials
  4. Teaching Emergency First Response.
  5. Skills Workshop.
    Primary Care, (CPR).
    Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.
    Emergency Oxygen use
    Conscious Choking
    Secondary Care, (First Aid).
  6. Organising an Emergency First Response course.
  7. Mannequin cleaning.
  8. Marketing Emergency First Response.

Prerequisites:

  1. Must be a renewed PADI Divemaster (or a PADI Instructor with a higher rating)
  2. Have successfully completed an EFR Primary care course or another qualifying CPR course.
  3. Have successfully completed an EFR Secondary care course or another qualifying First Aid course.

Materials Required:

  1. PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Guide.
  2. PADI Emergency First Response Student Guide.
  3. Ventilation Barrier (Pocket Mask).

Administrative Requirements:

  1. Two passport size photographs

Included in the Course Fee:

  1. 2 days tuition and use of classroom facilities.
  2. Use of mannequin(s), gloves, bandages and dressings.
  3. PADI Emergency First Response Instructor certification card.
  4. PADI Emergency First Response Instructor wall certificate.

Not Included in the Course Fee:

  1. Emergency First Response Instructor kit (Instructor Manual and Student Guide)
  2. Ventilation Barrier.
  3. Emergency First Response Registration Fee. (Currently $71.50).

How to prepare for the course:

  1. Ensure you have attended an EFR course as a student. (Or hold a current CPR and FIRST AID certificate with another organisation)
  2. Complete EFR self study Knowledge Reviews.
