all KNOWLEDGE REVIEWS in the IDC Candidate Workbook before
the course starts
Study
Diving Knowledge Workbook in conjunction with the Encyclopaedia
for theoretical preparation
Complete
the Theory Exams in the IDC Candidate Workbook to test your
knowledge
PHYSICAL PREPARATION:
Practice
continuously snorkelling 800 metres (wearing swimsuit, mask,
fins & snorkel only)
Practice
all PADI Open Water Diver Course skills to demonstration
quality
If
you have not practised demonstrating skills for a while,
we urge you to contact us to arrange attendance of a real
Open Water Course at no extra charge. Please also allow
sufficient time for skills practice prior to commencement
of the program.
ADMINISTRATIVE
PREPARATION:
Obtain
all required course materials. Order directly from PADI
or from Deep Sea Divers Den
Obtain
all required diving equipment. Remember special discounts
apply for paid-up IDC candidates.
Undergo
Medical Examination to Australian Standard AS 4005.1 or
AS 2299
Book
early to avoid disappointment: 20 % to secure a place and
balance 21 days before course date
